The Real Problem with Newspapers

Sep-4-2009 By ErikBoles

Industry pundits everywhere have these long, drawn out ideas as to what has happened to newspapers, what will fix newspapers and what the next move is for newspapers. Erik offers a little different, and much simpler, approach.

  1. Tim Said,

Without a doubt, I agree. Just like you said, the News Paper Media industry is not listening! The news is constantly repetitive information from all sources of things that no one is interested in. It’s not 1960 where we are limited in our sources of information, it no longer has to be forced down our throats. The people can choose where they get their information, weather is from some guy with a blog or flip cam, or large informative sites like Techcrunch.com. Its the people who provide the information that the audience is looking for, that they take the time to listen to, while they cancel their daily paper/web subscriptions. Some of the industry leaders should have read “Who Moved My Cheese?”.
